Sabina Czauz Bio
I have always been a quiet and persistent force however my meteoric rise started in the spring of 2020 when like many 13-year-olds, I was trying to find a way to keep playing sports in the middle of a pandemic.Fortunately, Kendall Chitambar, Director at Rocky Mountain Tennis Center in Boulder, USA, started a junior wheelchair tennis program just that year.2022 has been a historic year for me and I was invited to represent the USA at the US Open. The US Open became the first major grand slam to have a junior wheelchair tennis division. As a 15-year-old girl, I made the most of my experience as I interacted with some of my idols such as Billy Jean King and Iga Swiatek. Today, I am getting ready for the Australian Open 2025 and looking forward to meeting friends and attending tournaments in Europe. The little things are very important thus, I try to give back to the community by coaching new players, working with adaptive PE teachers, and recruiting new players. Denver Wheelchair Sports camp will always be a special place for fun memories as a camper and now as a tennis coach. There is also my aerospace engineering dream. While I am a dedicated player, I also focus on my school and engineering. While I started hands on fixing bikes, I was drawn into Trailblazers, and science clubs which allowed me to explore women in science including meeting people and amazing companies. My engineering classes, and space camp keep me happy
